The New York State legislature is close to passing Bill S3295, the Crohn’s & Colitis Fairness Act. The bill has passed in the Assembly 104 Yea vs 4 Nay, and 16 Aye – 0 Nay (with 1 Aye with Reservations) in the Senate Health Committee, and is on its 3rd reading in the Senate which means it is expected to come to a vote in June.

It is up to Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan to move S3295, the Crohn’s & Colitis Fairness Act to the active list and put it up for a vote before the 6/21 end of the session. He will be more likely to put S3295 up for a vote if he hears that it’s important to his constituents and other Senators.

Call your State Senator’s Albany office (518 number) and urge them to call Senator Flanagan and urge him to put S3295 up for a vote. Please keep calling and continue to follow up until the bill is passed!
